My career thus far has been in television news. So what makes me qualified for anything outside of a newsroom?
Producing requires organization, skilled writing, visualization, people management, and making each deadline without question. As a news producer, I chose each story that went into my show, how it would be shown, in what order it would run, and how much time it needed to be told effectively. I then wrote each script the anchors read and made graphics. Next I handled the ups and downs of live TV in the control room: adjusting for breaking news, communicating with remote reporters and photographers, and timing the show. Below you can see examples of newscasts I have produced.
